#RAKWeek

I read this past week that kindness is one of the simplest – and most powerful – gifts we can offer. And, actually, it’s not an optional extra for people who follow Jesus. In Galatians 5, Paul lists kindness as part of the fruit of the Spirit, which means it’s something the Holy Spirit grows in us as we keep in step with him.

Think for a moment: When have you been blessed by someone else’s kindness? It might have been a big deal. Or maybe it was something small that nevertheless carried great weight.

Now think for a moment about how you can prayerfully and intentionally build kindness into each day. In what ways and in what places can you encourage someone or help carry a burden or simply remind them they’re not alone? If you’d like some specific ideas, you’ll probably find one here that appeals to you: www.randomactsofkindness.org/kindness-ideas.
