A Christmas carol on a CD that’s regularly played in our house begins with “It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” Sometimes when I sing along, I change the words to “It’s the most craziest time of the year!” I suspect you can relate. Which makes it so critical that we slow down and ponder the “waiting” aspect of Advent. Right now as you’re reading, just pause for a moment. Yes, now. Before reading further, reflect on the wonder of it all – Almighty God took on flesh and was born in a lowly manger so we could be reconciled to Him! Where have you noticed God’s faithful provision, God’s powerful majesty, God’s abiding presence in recent days? In recent hours? In recent minutes? Even in this instant?
